Proeon Systems
Proeon systems is responsible for the engineering design, supply, installation and integration of electrical control systems in the offshore high voltage substation for Hollandse Kust West. This substation connects Ecowende’s wind farm to TenneT’s offshore grid. Proeon share Ecowendes vision for utilising innovation and sustainable development in the construction of this wind farm and future wind farms.
Design and manufacture of an integrated control system
With over 20 years’ experience working within hostile environments both offshore and onshore, Proeon are well placed to meet the challenges encountered within this project. Proeon are delivering engineering design and manufacture of the Wind Park Operator (WPO) network, utilising the latest in secure digital technology and industrial best practices. Systems include: power distribution, metering and ecology systems, for the WPO room at the offshore high voltage substation.

Provision of hardware, assembly and testing
Proeon are also providing hardware for the WPO room, including safe area enclosures, power distribution, isolators, circuit protection, GPS antenna and temperature/humidity sensors and associated cabling. This project involves heat, load, fault and cable calculations. Assembly and testing of the integrated system will take place at Proeon’s premises in Norwich, UK, before being installed offshore.
